Swing has Lost an Icon: A Tribute to Jack Carey

We have lost a true legend of swing dance.  Jack Carey (January 23, 1927 -September 24, 2013) was a much beloved and  important part of  the swing community in Southern California who originated the Jack and Jill competition. Jack is also credited with advancing the slotted form of West Coast Swing. He was inducted into the California and National Swing Dance Hall of Fame. Here is an interview of Jack Carey and Annie Hirsch that Swingthedoc did  at Camp Hollywood 2012. It was an honor to have the opportunity to interview these two. We thought we would share the footage of that interview as a tribute to him.  Please enjoy and share with your friends. Team Swing
